YouTube Tip #1: Extracting main thumbnail

Have you ever wondered how to extract, or “pull” the thumbnail from a YouTube video for use on a website, or an email? This is a very simple task.

In order to achieve this, you will need the id of the video. To find the ID of a given video, observe the following link:

The green highlighted string is the YouTube video ID.

Once you have the YouTube ID, we may proceed.


Below you will see how to view the thumbnail using a simple YouTube link. The format is as follows (Pulls main large image) (Pulls 1st thumbnail) (Pulls 2nd thumbnail) (Pulls 3rd thumbnail)
